The program protects you against accidental damage to the rental unit or its contents during a guests stay.
Accidentally knock over a lamp or glassware that breaks.
Accidentally spill on carpet or furniture.
Accidentally drop a skillet on a glass cook-top and there goes hundreds of dollars!
Damage Protection provides coverage for accidental damage that may occur within the vacation rental property during a guests stay. It may be a glass of wine spilled, a lamp that gets tipped over or a broken window. The program covers up to the specified coverage amount ($1,500 or $3,000) if the rented unit or its contents are accidentally damaged during the stay. Coverage is subject to program terms and conditions.
WHAT IS THE ADDED VALUE TO THE GUEST?
When the coverage is purchased, Damage Protection transfers the risk of paying for accidental damage out of pocket up to the maximum ($1,500 or $3,000) from the guest to the insurance company.
WHAT IS THE ADDED VALUE TO THE OWNER OR PROPERTY MANAGER?
Gone is the adversarial conversations and here to stay is a satisfied guest who is likely to be back again for another visit. The “he said – she said” game is gone as the program provides an easy way for accidentally damaged items to be repaired or replaced. It also reduces the need for a property manager to collect, hold and refund security deposits. The unit owner has $1,500 or $3,000 covering his or her unit instead of a much lower security deposit amount and the program is also underwritten by certain underwriters at Lyndon Southern Insurance Company.
